Come along to Queens Park for a FREE family afternoon of live music!
We have fantastic performances from local live bands throughout the afternoon:
Shakermaker (12.30pm – 1.30pm)
Shakermaker are an unforgettable, high-energy event band specialising in rock, pop and indie classics!
Acrylic (2pm – 3pm)
Acrylic are a local five-piece Indie cover band who rocked the Picnic in the Park last year!
Vavoom (3.30pm – 4.30pm)
Vavoom are a three piece Rock n Roll band featuring thumpin’ double bass, growling Gretsch guitar and powerhouse drums delivering a high octane set of classic rock n roll guaranteed to get you dancing!
Teal (5pm – 6pm)
Teal are a cutting-edge, modern event band inspired by legendary icons of pop, soul and motown. Expect to hear anything from Duran Duran to The Foo Fighters and Stevie Wonder to George Ezra!
Crewe Brass (12pm – 12.30pm)
Crewe Brass are a renowned 4th section Brass Band from Crewe!
Every 15 minutes between 10.30am and 7pm between Stand 10 at Crewe Bus Station and the main entrance to the park on Victoria Avenue. All shuttle buses are accessible to wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Please check for parking charges and timing restrictions at town centre car parks before catching the bus.
Limited parking is available at the Tipkinder car park (CW2 7SE), but tends to fill up quickly.
If driving, please park considerately, and be respectful by not blocking residents’ driveways. Please take care when leaving the event.
PLEASE – no disposable barbecues, no shelters or gazebos. Alcohol will not be on sale at this family-friendly live music event.
Please come prepared for the weather – if hot, bring your sun hats, wear sunscreen and drink lots of water!
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. You can pick up a lost child wrist band (for you to write your contact number on in case your child becomes separated from you) at the lost child tent.
The lost child tent will be located on the grassed area near to the main gate and Lodge House.
Expect loud music, large crowds and sensory stimulation. Accessible toilets and baby change units will be available on site.
There will be a Medical tent at the event located on the grassed area near to the main gate and Lodge House.
We have a number of volunteering roles that we are looking to fill for the Picnic in the Park event – can you help?
Parking Stewards on Tipkinder Car Park (10am – 12.30pm & 5.30pm – 6.30pm)
You will support the directing of event traffic through the car park to help us maximize the parking space available and limit disruption and queues.
General Event Stewards (for slots between 11.30am and 6.30pm)
Help direct event attendees around the event site (information will be provided), hand out flyers, welcome attendees upon arrival and thank them on departure. Help to look out for issues that need raising with the events team.
