The Cleaner Crewe project is a collaboration between Crewe Town Council, Cheshire East Council and Cheshire East Council’s wholly-owned environmental services company, Ansa Environmental Services Ltd. The aim of Cleaner Crewe is to tackle streets and alleyways in the town, which have been blighted by poor waste management (including contamination of bins and fly-tipping) and transform these areas into spaces for residents to use and enjoy!
This infographic shows the statistics for the project from November last year:
The project started with resident engagement in the spring and summer of 2021 and moved to enforcement at the end of last year with the introduction of new powers in the form of legislation called a section 46 notice.
