Operation Summer returned for its third year in 2024 and featured an exciting family-friendly programme that kept the kids entertained during the summer holidays. We had the most amazing time and had over 8,000 visitors come along to more than 130 FREE summer activities in Crewe!
This summer we:
🦋 Joined in with screen printing, mark making, hats & headdresses and bats & butterflies workshops and saw a dragon at the Crewe Heritage Centre
🧪 Had fun at Crewe Library with Mad Science and Marc Makes Comics workshops, rhyme times, drama and storytelling, collages and junk sculptures
🎪 Played in Queens Park at the family fun days where we watched outdoor theatre, listened to Alan’s storytelling, took part in nature crafts, bounced with bubbles, learnt circus skills and made feature films
✈️ Got crafty making decorative jars, peg planes, fairy houses and so much more with Creative Crewe at Christ Church
🏃 Kept active in our local parks with Street Sports and Pop Up in the Parks
And so much more! A HUGE thank you to everyone who took part – from those who came along to the amazing people who provided all of the activities and entertainment. We had a blast.
