The news that Bentley Motors are to create a new Research and Development Centre at their Crewe site with 300 new jobs was welcomed by Crewe Town Council. The development is part of a £40m investment in the plant which already employs 3,700 people.
“This is great news, with another 300 well paid, highly skilled jobs in manufacturing coming to Crewe. It shows the continuing confidence of major companies in the local workforce. The community should take pride in this vote of confidence – “Crewe can do!”” was the response of Councillor Kevin Hickson, Leader of the Town Council.
