The Coronation Picnic promotional flyers will be sent to all schools in Crewe after their return from the Easter school holidays. The flyers will also be available for collection soon from various points within town, including Crewe Library and the Café at Queens Park.
A representative of the Friends of Queens Park commented:
“We are excited to host our community Coronation event in Queens Park to celebrate this historic occasion. Our beautiful park was dedicated to the people of Crewe in July 1887 to commemorate another royal event – Queen Victoria’s Jubilee – and the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the Grand Junction Railway. Queens Park is the perfect place for the Crewe community to come together for a fantastic afternoon of live music and festivity!”
