Minutes of the Personnel Committee held at 7:00pm on Tuesday 9th March 2021

In attendance: Cllr Jill Rhodes, Cllr Marilyn Houston and Cllr Dennis Straine-Francis

PlC/2/20/1 To receive apologies for absence.


PlC/2/20/2 To note declarations of Members’ interests.


PlC/2/20/3 To confirm and sign the minutes of the meeting held on 18th September 2020

RESOLVED: That the minutes are approved as a true record of the meeting

PlC/2/20/4 Public Participation

A period not exceeding 15 minutes for members of the public to ask questions or submit comments.

There were no public comments or representations

PlC/2/20/5 It is recommended that Committee considers a resolution under Section 1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 to exclude the public and representatives of the press from the meeting during the consideration of Items 6 – 9 on the grounds that matters contain sensitive information and by reason of the confidential nature of the business being transacted.

RESOLVED: That the meeting enters closed session

PlC/2/20/6 To receive staff appraisal reports and consideration of performance

i. That the Appraisals are received and noted
ii. That Support Officer incremental progression is approved

PlC/2/20/7 To note any changes in staffing and associated actions

The changes were noted

PlC/2/20/8 To receive an update on the regularisation of employment terms and conditions

The update was noted and progression of the final post for inclusion was welcomed to ensure parity

PlC/2/20/9 To consider the date of the next meeting.

The date of the next meeting of the committee is 7th September 2021 (noting that an interim meeting may be required should there be any changes in terms or structure prior to that date)
