Council seeking Events Officer to join the team

Post: Events Officer

Hours: Annualised hours initially equivalent to 3 days per week

Scale: Point 26 (incremental) £22,937 (Pro rata)

Applications are invited from candidates with experience in delivering events in the public or private sector.  The main duties will include managing and expanding upon the Council’s own programme of events such as the Christmas Lights switch on event as well as ceremonial events such as Remembrance Sunday.

A key element of the role will be to support and facilitate other parties such as community groups in delivering events in Crewe.  There will also be a requirement to supervise public space in the town centre and where appropriate manage bookings of the town squares.

The post holder will be required to work flexibly including some weekend and evening work.  This will be managed via an ‘annualised hours’ arrangement.  Applicants wishing to work full time will be considered and the Council has retained the option to increase the allocated hours if it sees it as appropriate.
