Chocolate infusions at Crewe Steampunk Convivial (26th-28th May)

Crewe, railways, steam and Victorian culture will be forever linked, and this May the Steampunk movement revisits the town to celebrate the glorious fashions and quirky inventions of a bygone era with a delicious chocolate taste!

From Saturday 26th to Monday 28th of May, the streets of Crewe will be transported back in time, with many visitors showcasing Victorian-style clothing such as top hats, colourful waistcoats, futuristic goggles, corsets, bustles and fabulous fascinators. The Time Travelling Tea Tent will pitch up on Christ Church lawns featuring the renowned Lady Barnes and Captain Davis. Fantastical tales will be told, hamsters raced and tea drinking demonstrations staged. Jugglers, unicycle riders, story tellers, fire performers, musicians and escapologists will delight crowds around Market Street and Remembrance Square. In the Crewe Lifestyle Centre a Steampunk market will offer an eclectic mix of clothing, Steampunk fashions, accessories, arts and crafts, plus hundreds of unusual gift ideas.

It’s set to be a packed holiday weekend. The Crewe Cosmopolitan Food Festival is also running on the Sunday and Monday, this time promising stalls packed with chocolatey treats!
