Councillor Straine-Francis joined a Crewe family and friends pulled together to help Debbie Bilotta and her husband, Vito along with Mark Threadgold to organise a charity football tournament in memory of their son and good friend Joel at The White Lion Pub in Warmingham.
Twelve teams organised by Mark, a good friends of Joel’s, stepped up to the 5-aside football challenge to battle it out in 8minute matches to be crowned the champions.
The event was organised to celebrate what would have been Joel’s 30th Birthday and to raise funds for Hope House Children’s Hospices in whom Debbie regularly fundraises for to raise money in Joel’s memory.
