trAction Crewe – 7th July logistical information for local traders and public

On Saturday 7^th July a special event will take place in Crewe Town Centre.

Accelerate into the future to celebrate Crewe’s role in railways, science, engineering and art! Free activities for all the family including STEAM workshops, inspirational arts performances and street theatre,  sports, children’s competitions, games and exhibitions for everyone to enjoy. . If you would like to offer special promotions and discounts during trAction Crewe weekend, please post in trAction Crewe social media (details can be found below).

As your business is in the Crewe Town Centre, we would like to make you aware of some key information.

Event Operating Hours and venues

Entertainment and activities will take place on Saturday July 7th from 10:00am to 6:00pm in Lyceum Square, Victoria Street, Victoria Square, Market Street and Queensway.

Load in and Load out times / days event:

Load In:

Friday 6 July: Lyceum Square, Market Square and Memorial Square 1700hrs to 2330hrs

Saturday 7 July: Lyceum Square, Market Square and Memorial Square 0500hrs to 0930hrs

Load Out:

Saturday 7 July: Lyceum Square, Market Square and Memorial Square 1800hrs to 0000hrs

Restricted Access Areas

In order to provide the necessary safety zone for the presentation of our event, the following roads will be closed from 5am – 11pm on Saturday 7^th July 2018:

• Lyceum Square
• Victoria Street
• Market Street
• Queensway
• Hill Street
• Heath Street
• Victoria Square

The following roads will be closed from 3:30pm – 4:45pm on Saturday 7^th July to accommodate the parade:

• Delamere Street 8^th July
• Chester Street 8^th July
• Prince Albert Street 8^th July
• Market Street 8^th July

Please note this will affect the usual delivery arrangements. It is with everyone’s safety in mind that we must restrict all access to this area and we apologize in advance if this causes any inconvenience.

Parking for the Public

There will be limited parking available to the public. Please note that the car park in Lyceum Square will not available during the event days. The disabled car parking arrangements on Market Square and Victoria Street (opposite the Gaffers Row) will also be unavailable on the 7^th July from 3:30pm – 4.45pm.
