We are delighted to announce that Crewe Town Council has teamed up with The Makers Market, the leading artisan market company in the North of England, to bring a monthly ‘Crewe Makers Market’ to Crewe Town Centre. The first market will take place on Sunday 19th of March, and then every third Sunday of the month on an ongoing basis.
Following the successful trial in September 2022, Crewe’s pop up artisan market will be located in Market Square, along Victoria Street and Market Street. It will feature more than 60 stalls showcasing award-winning local food, drink, art, crafts and vintage artisans, as well as live music, and free family activities! It’s a fantastic opportunity to enjoy a free day out with family and friends and experience great shopping.
Cllr Joe Cosby, Chair of the Marketing and Events Committee, commented: “The trial of a Makers Market for Crewe in September went so well and received such great support, we are pleased to be able to confirm that it is coming back to the town centre and will become a regular feature for Crewe. We hope that the local community and beyond will come into Crewe to support the market, participate in the free family activities and enjoy this market on a monthly basis.”
Victoria Crane, Event Manager of the Makers Market, said: “We pride ourselves at the Makers Market in delivering delightful specialist events with many award winning local producers of unique goods set to inspire. Following the fantastic trial event in September last year we can’t wait to launch on Sunday 19th of March, and every third Sunday thereafter. Makers Market is a superb opportunity to find out the origins of your food, meet the maker, feast your eyes upon some goodies and fill those shopping bags whilst indulging in some good conversations with our team and traders.”
