Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition 2017

Now autumn nears and the nights are starting to draw in, preparations have begun for Christmas in Crewe.

Councillor Diane Yates, Mayor of Crewe, has launched a competition for children to design her official Mayoral Christmas Card

The Mayor of Crewe asks ‘Would you like to help me switch on the Christmas Lights in Crewe on Friday 24th November?  Then come up with a very festive design for my Christmas Card and you might just be in for a chance to come and join me on stage to welcome in Christmas in Crewe.’

The competition is open to children aged 13 and under, who live or attend nursery or schools in Crewe.  Entries need to be no bigger than A5, preferably drawn on the Competition Entry Form.  The image must be the child’s own design, be colourful and most importantly, be as festive as possible!  Entries must have the child’s name, age and contact details on and be delivered to the Crewe Town Council Offices before midnight on Sunday 29th October.  Unfortunately no entries can be returned.

The Mayor and her Consort will choose the winning design which will then go on to be her official Christmas Card which will be distributed around Crewe and beyond during the festive season.

If you would like further information about the competition, or wish to invite the Mayor of Crewe to attend your event or function, please contact Hannah Marr, Community Engagement Officer by email [email protected] or calling 01270 756975
