The Town Council has launched the Crewe writing competition as part of the ‘Telling Tales’ literary event on the 20th and 21st June. Those wishing to enter are advised to read the attached document and submit their entries and application for to the Council before the deadline on 20th May. Cllr Pam Minshall said ‘I am proud to be taking the lead on this for the Town Council, encouraging young and old to write and think about literature can only be beneficial. I am looking forward to the judges being swamped with entries and hopefully the media in all their forms would be willing to publish extracts and broadcast some of the readings’
Cllr Joy Bratherton said ‘In the longer term we hope that “Telling Tales” will provide a legacy and that each year we are in a position to enjoy the best of Creative Crewe, let’s get writing those tales of myth, magic and mystery’
