Crewe Town Allotment Federation plans to hold its first Horticultural Show on Sunday 16th August.

The Crewe Town Horticultural Show will take place in Queens Park to coincide with the Family Fit and Fun Day also planned for the same day.

The Allotment Federation would like to encourage local residents from Crewe and the surrounding area to enter home grown exhibits of vegetables, flowers, plants and floral art as well as two special categories for children which includes an edible monster and a miniature garden in a seed tray.

George Cornes, Chairman of the Crewe Town Allotment Federation, said ‘We are absolutely thrilled to announce our first Horticultural Show.  We greatly encourage our green fingered local residents to come along and join us by entering an exhibit for the Show.’

Councillor Suzanne Brookfield, Crewe Town Council, said ‘The Town Council is really pleased to be working with the Allotment Federation on their first Horticultural Show.  Come on Crewe, get growing!’
