Crewe Town Council has bought five defibrillators for Crewe and the fifth and final defibrillator of Phase 1 has now been installed at:
The Rising Sun Vaults, 130 Earle Street, CW1 2AF (opposite Crewe Retail Park)
It joins the other defibs which are located at:
- St. Michael’s Church, Ford Lane, Coppenhall, CW1 3TN
- The ‘Healthbox Community Bungalow’, 29 Sherborne Road, CW1 4LA
- George’s Community Centre, West St, CW2 8SL
- Blitz Fireworks, Hightown, CW1 3BS
The defib was officially unveiled last week by Crewe Town Mayor – Cllr Nan Walton – and she is pictured with (L-R) Manager Caroline Green and Landlady Karen Burke Hurley.
This unit is now live and registered on the national database – if you have a medical emergency near this location, call 999 for further guidance and the access code (if appropriate).
Karen was pleased to get involved: “For 80 years this pub has ‘served’ the local Community and we are delighted to have partnered with Crewe Town Council to provide this life-saving defibrillator.”
Phase 1 of the Defibrillator programme is now complete and details will be announced later in the year about next steps!
By using a defibrillator before an ambulance arrives, you can significantly increase someone’s chance of survival. Find out how to use one here:
