RESOLVED: That this committee objects to the application on the following grounds:
i. The development of an HMO is not in keeping with the nature of the surrounding housing
ii. The development of an HMO is a principle not supported by this council and does not recognize the emerging Article Directives of Cheshire East Council as a means to tackle the social issues caused by proliferation of HMOs in the community
iii. The application demonstrates over-development of the site
iv. The development risks loss of amenity for existing residents due to noise and antisocial behaviour
v. The development of an HMO risks increased on street waste, identified by Cheshire East Council as a serious issue in Crewe and not meeting the aims of the Cheshire East Cleaner Crewe Initiative
vi. Lack of off street parking for a proposed housing unit of up to 7 individuals will lead to further localized issues relating to on street parking and the impact on the resultant local community
vii. The first floor rooms do not demonstrate appropriate living accommodation with minimal room sizes providing the main living accommodation for the residents of below 10square metres
