1 To receive apologies for absence

2 To note declarations of Members’ interests

Cllr Murray declared a non-pecuniary interest as a volunteer for the Crewe Heritage Trust

3 To confirm and sign the Minutes of the Personnel Sub-Committee meeting held on 3rd September 2024

RESOLVED: That the minutes are approved as a true record of the meeting

4 Public Participation
A period not exceeding 15 minutes for members of the public to ask questions or submit comments that relate to the published agenda.

5 It is recommended that Committee considers a resolution under Section 1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 to exclude the public and representatives of the press from the meeting during the consideration of Items 6 – 11 on the grounds that matters contain sensitive information and by reason of the confidential nature of the business being transacted.
RESOLVED: That the meeting enters closed session for agenda items 6 to 11
6 To receive staff appraisal reports and consideration of performance
  The appraisals were noted.

RESOLVED: That the posts with resource oversight and responsibility are subject to re-evaluation

7 To review incremental awards

RESOLVED: That increments are awarded in line with policy

8 Training opportunities
  Noted
9 Consideration of issues relating to RFO contingency arrangements

The report was noted and arrangements agreed, with the sub-committee recommendation that an interim should be appointed as a matter of importance should there be an extended absence of the RFO.

10 Review of agreement and arrangements relating to the Crewe Heritage Trust
  RESOLVED:

i.                    That the need to progress formal transfer is noted and approved

ii.                   That the anticipated draft schedule is noted and approved

iii.                 That the engagement is noted and approved.

11 National benchmarking

12 To note the proposed date of the next Personnel Sub-Committee meeting: 9th September 2025
