2 | To note declarations of Members’ interests
Cllr Murray declared a non-pecuniary interest in items associated with the Heritage Centre as a volunteer for that charity. |
3 | To confirm and sign the Minutes of the Personnel Sub-Committee meeting held on 11th March 2024
RESOLVED: That the minutes are approved as a true record of the meeting |
4 | Public Participation |
A period not exceeding 15 minutes for members of the public to ask questions or submit comments that relate to the published agenda.

5 | It is recommended that Committee considers a resolution under Section 1 of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 to exclude the public and representatives of the press from the meeting during the consideration of Items 6 – 9 on the grounds that matters contain sensitive information and by reason of the confidential nature of the business being transacted. |
RESOLVED: That the meeting is to enter closed session | |
6 | To receive staff appraisal reports and consideration of performance.
The appraisal reports were noted. |
7 | Job Description review and Evaluation and staffing structure. |
RESOLVED:
i. That the amended staffing structure is approved for recommendation to council ii. That the job description and evaluation are approved for recruitment |

8 | Training opportunities |
RESOLVED:
i. That the council supports officers in progressing professionally relevant Masters Degrees with up to 10 days a year study leave plus up to £500 a year towards tuition fees for up to 2 years. ii. That the committee supports the principle of provision of governance training but that this might be reconsidered for funding in the new financial year. |
