EC/24/2/4. | To confirm and sign the minutes of the Marketing and Events Committee meeting held on 22nd May 2024.
RESOLVED: That the minutes are approved as a true record of the meeting |
EC/24/2/5. | Public Participation

EC/24/2/6. | To review the year to date financial position for the Events & Culture Committee |
Members noted the financial position of the Events & Culture Committee. | |
EC/24/2/7. | To receive an update relating to progress towards the business delivery plan as it relates to this Committee.
Members noted the update. |
EC/24/2/8. | To receive an update relating to the progress of the Heritage Business Delivery Plan.
Members noted the update. |
EC/24/2/9. | To provide an update on activity at Crewe Heritage Centre and consider facilitation of fundraising.
RESOLVED: i. i. Members approved Crewe Town Council acting as the host employer for a Heritage Centre Funding Manager, for recommendation to council. ii. ii. Members noted that the post is fully funded by the Crewe Heritage Trust, with the expectation and requirement that it will generate income for the trust significantly greater than the cost of employment. iii. iii. Members approved the post being added to the council’s staffing structure, reporting to the Heritage Manager, subject to council ratification. iv. iv. Members recommended that post descriptions are approved by the Personnel Sub-Committee prior to recruitment. |
EC/24/2/10. | To receive an update on the Crewe Arts Development and Trail Project and consider an extension of the trail to commission a mural on the side of the town council building.
RESOLVED: i. Members recommend to council an allocation of £20,000 of reserves to commission a mural on the side of the town council building. |
EC/24/2/11. | To receive an update on the progress towards animating Lyceum Square during Summer/Autumn 2024 update.
Members noted the update. |
EC/24/2/13. | To provide draft budget setting details to members for 2025-26
Members sought that options for future delivery of animations at Lyceum Square are explored and report brought to the committee to consider future means of delivery and funding. RESOLVED: i. The draft committee budget was agreed, for final review and recommendation at the next meeting. |
EC/24/2/14. | To note the proposed date of the next meeting on 7th October at 6:00pm.
