Following on from the success of the ‘Do you look after someone? Who is looking after you?’ event held in April, we plan to hold another on Wednesday 27th September.
The event will again take place at Crewe Lifestyle Centre between 1pm and 5pm and will act as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for carers to obtain information and advice from a host of provider services.
The event is being organised by Crewe Town Council, the Local Area Coordinators from Cheshire East Council, Care4CE and the Eastern and Southern Clinical Commissioning Groups.
Councillor Benn Minshall, Chair of the Community Plan Committee at Crewe Town Council, said ‘Carers are often unsung heroes in any community and sometimes aren’t aware of the support they can access. The Town Council is delighted to support the event and to help assist Carers to have the opportunity to meet and talk to others about services which are available to them.’
We would like to invite local organisations to take part in this event which we hope will focus on providing information, advice and guidance on services available to people who are in a caring role and those being cared for.
We would love to make things a little interactive and there will be areas which focus on digital inclusion, fitness, etc. We are also particularly keen to have local clubs and groups attend to highlight what is on offer to residents in search of something to take part in.
If your organisation would like to join us on 27th September, please download, complete and return the Booking Form to Hannah Marr, Community Engagement Officer, at the Crewe Town Council Offices or by email to [email protected] before 4th September.
