Crewe Town Council will hold its second annual festival on Sunday 12th July.
CreweFest and Crewe Summer Market will take over Crewe Town Centre for a day promised to be filled with lots of exciting activities to kick start the summer.
On Sunday 12th July between 10am and 3pm, Market Street will be lined with a serious of themed tents that celebrate some of the diversity, culture and creativity which include live poetry from Ciarán Hodgers, practical demonstrations from members of Cheshire Youth United and Crewe Pledge, arts and crafts thanks to Creative Crewe, why not lend your hand to build a junk train with Junk Art Creations, find out about local history with Crewe Historical and Family History Societies and dip into some international workshops of rajhastani puppet making, henna painting and carnival mask making.
Market Square will be surrounded by street food stalls such as Blitz Event Solutions Kyle's Diner and Amadeo Ice Cream Tricycle Crewe as well as the sights and sounds of Aspire Dance & Theatre Academy, Majenta DANCE, Jewelled Bedlah, Deva Flamenco, Matriz Cheerleaders, Leslie Wright Tae Kwon Do and TheFunkyChoir.com. This Is The Cat will be on the prowl throughout the day for interviews and live broadcasts.
Queensway will be filled with Crewe Summer Market in aid of Hope House Children's Hospices and St Luke's Cheshire Hospice. Stall holders include Giovannis Crewe, The Belgian Beer Company, Soul in Art, Alextra Group, Ultimate Fudge Outlet, Total Fitness Crewe, HiQ Crewe, My Secret Kitchen, Creative Crewe, North Staffs Cystic Fibrosis, Beautonic, Mother-Well CIC, Rotary Club of Crewe, Dolores Accessories, Haslington Bakery, Mums in the Know Crewe & Nantwich, Haughton Honey, Tink and Boo's Handmade Gifts, A B Creative and Cheshire Tea Company.
