Update on proposals received
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to put together the information we asked for within the project proposal form – we appreciate that this was not a 5 minute exercise.
We have been overwhelmed with the positive response this process has gained. Around 60 proposals have been put forward.
These proposals include a wide array of really interesting and ambitious ideas that are all focused on building a positive and prosperous future for Crewe. This is a strong testament to the passion and pride we all share in our town.
The Town Board are now tasked with drawing together from these submissions, a cohesive package of projects for Crewe Towns Fund bid. This process will be steered with Government guidance for Towns Fund in mind, as this will keep us focused on the kinds of ideas that will receive support via this area of government funding. The Board are also working closely with other bodies who are developing other funding bids, to make sure what is put forward by all parties, connects well and works to address what Crewe needs now.
Once a shortlist of Towns Fund projects has been agreed by Crewe Town Board we will publish more information here.
For those projects we are not able to take forward at this time, we need to make sure the ideas are kept in mind for future funding opportunities. The project ideas that you have brought to our attention will be fed in to the process of building Crewe’s future vision and 10 year Town Investment Plan.
