At the Full Council meeting last week, Councillor Nan Walton was confirmed as Mayor (Elect) for the civic year 2022/23 and Councillor Dennis Straine-Francis was announced as the upcoming Deputy Mayor (Elect). Councillor Walton will be replacing Councillor Tom Dunlop, who will continue to act as Crewe Town Mayor until the formal handover of duties at the Annual Council Meeting in May.
At the same meeting, Crewe Town Council also co-opted a new member to the council. Kevin Murray became Councillor for the vacant Crewe West ward.
