Crewe Town Council held its Annual Town Meeting on Thursday 23rd April at Ruskin Community High School.
The Mayor invited local community groups and organisations who have received funding from the Town Council’s small grants scheme over the past 12 months to share information on how the monies were put to good use.
The Mayor said ‘It was very humbling to hear the stories that were shared at the Meeting. The Town Council works very hard to support the community and this is just one of the many ways in which we do so.’
Groups and organisations in attendance were Creative Crewe, Cheshire Academy of Integrated Sports and Arts, Cheshire Buddies, Friends for Leisure, RedShift Radio, the Friends of Queens Park, the Greenspaces project on the Sherbourne Estate, Crewe Alexandra Ladies Football Club, Crewe Senior Forum, 95 (Crewe) Squadron Air Training Corps, South Cheshire Militaire and Christian Concern Cycles.
All the organisations shared their immense gratitude to the Town Council for enabling their projects and activities to benefit many individuals and the wider community of Crewe as a whole.
